The STAR & newssprint web offset presses are single width, single circumference, and coldset presses, having modular construction, quick make ready, with simple design for ease of operation and maintenance. The printing elements of star are mono unit with integral roll stand and 3-colour satellite unit. The mono unit can be stacked maximum up to 4 Hi tower to get full color on both sides of the web (4 / 4) and the 3-colour satellite in combination of a mono unit or stack unit can print full color one side of the web and single color on the other side of the web (4 / 1) . Of course other color combinations like 2 / 2 or 4 / 2 are also possible. The Star press offers various cut-off sizes from 508mm, 533mm, 546mm, 560mm, 578mm and speeds of 16, 000-20, 000-30, 000-36, 000 (newssprint) impressions per hour, respectively. |
