The seventh China International import Expo (CIIE) themed "A New Era, Shared Future" has come to a successful conclusion. Printing enterprises have shone at the event, showcasing their outstanding performance. According to the China News and Publishing Broadcasting Daily, the printing culture from traditional printing techniques to cross-border printing technology collisions was fully displayed at the expo, showcasing the strength and level of multi-color printing.
The Printing Cultural Creative Exhibition Showcases Unique Charm
Outside the Shanghai Pavilion at the expo, a brick wall resembling a Shikumen building is visible, and passing through the archway of the Shikumen, Shanghai Printing Group Co., Ltd. made a brilliant appearance with its century-old history and craftsmanship.
As a well-known brand under Shanghai Printing Group, Huafeng Foundry displayed its "Word Candle - Movable Type Fragrance Candle" that had just been named as one of the Shanghai Souvenirs Gold List Gifts, the "Daxing" gift box from the Great Ideological and Cultural Creativity Project, a set of practical movable type glass cups, and the "Zi" series silver necklace and ring that had been named as "Shanghai Gifts". According to the introduction, the design inspiration for these cultural and creative products came from movable type printing technology, and the design patterns were taken from the "Floral Border Patterns" book published by Huafeng Printing and Foundry in 1926. The set of floral border patterns has been in print for nearly a century.
The Jiangsu Cultural Exchange Exhibition Area also featured a unique sight, where Changzhou Jin'an Ancient Books Printing Factory Co., Ltd. used traditional culture and handicrafts to introduce Jiangsu to the world. Jin'an Ancient Books Printing Factory displayed the "Selected Poetry Anthology with Artistic Patterns" at the expo, which presented the three different binding styles of the Tang Dynasty late period, the Song and Yuan Dynasties, and the Ming Jiajing Period in a creative way, thus maximizing the original appearance of the book, allowing readers to appreciate the beautiful images of the Book of Poetry while

Shanghai Publishing and Printing College has been participating in the CIIE volunteer service continuously, and the students have demonstrated their responsibility and commitment with their actions. Among them, "Little Leaf" has combined their professional knowledge and skills to contribute to the event. For example, Dai Yanyan from the Modern Media Technology and Art Institute of Shanghai Publishing and Printing College's Advertising Art Design (China-US) program represented the school in the Volunteer Badge Design Competition of the 7th China International import Expo and ultimately won the "Best Creativity Award". The badge she designed was used as the incentive badge for all volunteers to wear. At the same time, she also served as a "Little Leaf" volunteer for the event, using her design and service to add splendor to the event.
