News:As a well-knownprintingindustry center in the country, "Printing in Dongguan" has gradually become an important industrial businesscard. In recent years, Dongguan's printing industry has moved from manufacturing to intelligent manufacturing, and has embarked on a green, intelligent, and digital industrial advancement path, becoming a sample and benchmark for the transformation and upgrading of the national printing industry.

On April 11, the 5th China (Guangdong) International Printing Technology Exhibition (hereinafter referred to as "Guangdong Printing Exhibition") opened in Dongguan. At the exhibition, Hucai Printing Arts, Tianyuan Stock, Yutong Technology, Meiyingsen, Haoxin Precision and other printing companies participated as representatives of Dongguan's advanced printing industry.

The data shows that in 2022, Dongguan's papermaking and paper products industry and packaging and printing industry will account for 5.5% of the city's total industrial output value, making a huge contribution to promoting Dongguan as a famous manufacturing city in the country and even in the world. With the help of Guangzhou Printing Exhibition, Dongguan is constantly expanding new paths for the development of the printing industry.

Tan Jinzhao, vice president of the South China Urban Research Association, said that in the digital age, digital and intelligent transformation can bring printing companies more solutions to reduce costs and increase efficiency, helping companies grasp new development opportunities. "As an important part of the cultural industry, Dongguan's printing industry should take the opportunity of Dongguan's creation of a 'cultural city' as an opportunity to help the city's cultural construction with high-quality development, and polish the 'printed in Dongguan' industry business card."

A number of indicators ranked first in the province and even in the country

Throughout the development history of Dongguan, the manufacturing industry can have long-term advantages to support economic development, and the printing industry has contributed a lot.

Starting from the reform and opening up, Dongguan has undertaken the transfer of the printing industry from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan by virtue of its geographical advantages adjacent to Hong Kong and Macao. After more than 40 years of rapid development, it has established a mature and complete printing industry system and has become an important printing industry center in China.

Whether it is the heyday of traditional manufacturing industries such as furniture, hardware, shoemaking, and clothing, or the rise of the electronic information industry, Dongguan's printing industry has enjoyed the dividends of urban development all the way, forming a strong industry scale and industrial strength.

According to statistics, in 2021, Dongguan has a total of 3,648 printing companies; 173,800 employees; and a total industrial output value of 75.791 billion yuan, accounting for 25.2% of the province's total.

Among them, there are 256 enterprises above designated size with a total output value of 50 million yuan (inclusive) in the printing industry in Dongguan, 3 approved national printing and reproduction demonstration enterprises, including Jinbei, Hucai, and Junsi, and 144 printing enterprises with an annual output value exceeding 100 million yuan. The total number of printing enterprises, total industrial output value, foreign trade exports and other indicators have ranked first in the province and even in the country for many years.

And all of this requires sufficient support from Dongguan.

In 2010, Dongguan put forward the development strategy of building a famous cultural city, formulated and issued policies such as the "Planning Outline for Building a Famous Cultural City in Dongguan (2011-2020)", "Implementation Opinions on Building a National Modern Cultural Industry City in Dongguan (2011-2020)" and other policies The document listed the printing and publishing industry as the cultural industry category that Dongguan will focus on developing in the next ten years.

The above-mentioned documents put forward the strategic goal of "building Dongguan into a world-renowned printing and reproduction industry base, making the brand in Dongguan bigger and stronger", and set up a special fund for the construction of a famous cultural industry city to support the development of cultural industries including the printing industry. In 2012, Dongguan supported printing enterprises with a total of 8.32 million yuan.

Tan Haohui, general manager of Heidelberg South China, has been paying attention to the development of Dongguan's printing industry. He believes that "Dongguan spares no effort to promote new technologies, and the policies are in place, which has an immediate effect on industrial development."
