News:100 grams and 150 grams of white tea are packaged in exquisite ceramics, and there are only 3 bags of tea in a large gift box. The air void ratio of the above-mentioned 3 tea packages is as high as about 80%, which is suspected of exceeding the standard. A few days ago, the Market Supervision Bureau of Jimei District, Xiamen City, Fujian Province launched a special campaign to deal with excessive packaging of tea, and issued a "Notice of Order to Correct" for the excessive packaging behavior of 2 tea shops in the jurisdiction, ordering them to remove the above-mentioned 3 types of tea suspected of excessive packaging, and Make corrections.

On May 26, the Xinglin Market Supervision Office of the Jimei District Market Supervision Bureau conducted an on-site inspection of the tea business operators in the area under its jurisdiction, and found that "Xinhui White Tea" (net content: 100g, price 3380 yuan), "Pekko Silver Needle" sold in a tea shop (Net content: 150g, price 6,800 yuan) are all packaged in a single piece. After the inner bag is packed, it is packed with exquisite ceramics and then placed inside the gift box. Law enforcement personnel measure the size of the gift box and calculate that the packaging void rate reaches 80%, exceeding the national standard. The standard requires that law enforcement officers issue a "Notice of Order to Correct" on the spot, requiring merchants to remove the above two types of white tea suspected of being excessively packaged.

In the process of inspecting a tea shop in the jurisdiction, the law enforcement officers of Jimei Market Supervision Bureau of Jimei District also found excessive packaging of tea in a tea shop. A tea on the display cabinet in the store is beautifully packaged, but there are only 3 packs of tea in each box. Law enforcement officers measured the tea packaging box and the tea content, and found that the packaging void rate was as high as 79.54%, which did not meet the mandatory national standard requirements of GB23350-2009 "Restricting Excessive Packaging Requirements for Commodities and Cosmetics". The law enforcement officers also issued a "Notice of Order to Correct" to the parties on the spot, ordering the parties to remove the above-mentioned tea from the shelves, and publicized relevant implementation standards and laws and regulations to them.

In recent years, some tea packaging has become more and more luxurious, and the gift box packaging is overwhelming, but it is not known that the essence of tea products lies in the quality of the tea itself. In order to maintain the order of the tea business market and curb the waste of resources caused by excessive tea packaging, the Jimei District Market Supervision Bureau launched a special campaign against tea over-packaging for tea business households in the jurisdiction. In the first phase of the operation, 17 tea shops were inspected and a notice of order to correct them was issued 2 In the future, the Jimei Market Supervision Bureau will continue to increase supervision and inspection efforts to effectively protect the legitimate interests of consumers and create a green and low-carbon consumption environment.
