News:Recently, the Chongqing Municipal Consumer Council, together with the Chongqing Tea Industry Association and the Chongqing Packaging Association, issued an initiative to operators and consumers to "advocate moderate packaging of tea and promote simple green consumption" to guide commodity producers, sales Investors and consumers consciously put an end to excessive packaging of tea.

The initiative pointed out that tea operators should abide by laws and national standards such as the "Solid Waste Pollution Prevention and Control Law", "Restricting Excessive Packaging of Commodities for Food and Cosmetics", and produce in accordance with the law. Operators must conscientiously carry out self-inspection and self-inspection work, implement standards, use standards, and meet standards as soon as possible, and promote tea products to return to the attributes of commodities themselves. Commodities with attachments, accessories, etc., shall be reasonably combined in accordance with the law in accordance with the principle of necessity, and provide consumers with high-quality and affordable products by standardizing commodity packaging, scientific pricing, and reasonable marketing. Consciously resist the use of commodity packaging as a gimmick to induce or mislead consumers to make purchases, do not use excessive packaging to engage in unfair competition, and do not damage the legitimate rights and interests of other operators.

Operators should firmly establish the concept of "safe and practical, resource-saving, green and simple, and consumer-friendly", and promote frugality. Actively explore and establish a packaging recycling mechanism, continue to improve product innovation and research and development capabilities and production technology levels, and provide consumers with more categories and specifications of healthy and nutritious tea products. In terms of tea packaging, proper packaging materials, optimized structure, appropriate materials, harmless processing, and green production should be achieved.

Operators should oppose waste, especially excessive packaging, as an important criterion for cooperative product selection. The tea industry should cooperate in unifying product standards, promoting common accessories, etc., to reach a consensus, and jointly reduce waste caused by repeated purchases by consumers due to inconsistent product specifications and standards.

The majority of consumers should establish a scientific and rational consumption concept, try to buy and choose resource-saving products, and be the pioneers, practitioners, propagandists and supervisors against excessive tea packaging. Consumers are urged to consciously choose products with simple and moderate packaging when visiting relatives and friends, and refuse to pay for excessive packaging; try to bring your own shopping bags when shopping to reduce the consumption and pollution of packaging. At the same time, when encountering wasteful behaviors that violate the national standard for excessive tea packaging during consumption, take the initiative to complain and report, and jointly promote the formation of a lifestyle and consumption pattern that saves resources and protects the environment.
