Pakistan launches anti-dumping investigation on Chinese decorative printing paper

According to the China Trade Relief Information Network, on August 21, the Pakistan National Tariff Commission issued Announcement No. 67/2024/NTC/DPP, stating that in response to the application submitted by Pakistani manufacturer Wali Laminates (Pvt) Ltd. on June 24, 2024, an anti-dumping investigation was initiated on Decorative Printed Paper with a weight of 60-110 grams per square meter and a width of 725-1250 mm originating in or imported from China. The dumping investigation period of this case is from July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024, and the damage investigation period is from July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2024. This case involves products under Pakistan tariff number 4811.9000, which are particleboards and laminates used to make cabinets, doors and furniture. It is expected that the preliminary ruling will be made within 60 to 180 days from the date of filing the case. Stakeholders should register to respond within 10 days of the announcement and submit case comments and evidence within 60 days.
