Recently, the national standard plan " Polyethylene Blow Molded Containers for Food Packaging " (draft for approval) has been compiled and comments are solicited until April 28, 2023. The main drafting units are Hebei Century Hengtaifu Plastic Co., Ltd., Kunshan Ziding Plastic Co., Ltd., Foshan Nanhai Xinbaode Plastic Co., Ltd., Xingping Gaoke Plastic Co., Ltd., Guangzhou Xinlian Zhitong Industrial Co., Ltd., etc.
This document specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of polyethylene blow-molded containers for food packaging. This document is applicable to blow-molded containers with a nominal capacity of 1,000 L or less, which use polyethylene as the main raw material and are molded by hollow blow molding process and are used for food packaging.
Measured with a measuring tool with a division value not greater than 0.5 mm, the maximum dimension of the vertical projection of the sample container body is the outer diameter; the outer diameter of square and oblate square containers is calculated by the length of the diagonal. The maximum dimension of the horizontal projection of the sample is the height dimension. The difference between it and the nominal size is the size deviation, accurate to 1 mm.
For the minimum wall thickness, use instruments with a measurement accuracy of 0.02 mm, such as micrometers, vernier calipers, and non-contact instruments. Divide the container body horizontally into top, middle and bottom. For each part, take 4 stretches and measure the wall thickness at positions deviated from the dividing line (see Figure 1), and take the average value of the readings as the wall thickness of the top, middle and bottom in the report. The minimum value of all parts is the test result.
Inject water at a temperature of (20±5)°C into the sample according to the nominal capacity and tighten the cap. For containers with an inner diameter of the injection port ≤ 70 mm, lie down on a horizontal surface (the container mouth is close to the ground), and inspect after 4 hours; s/time ~ 130 s/time, reciprocate at a constant speed for 20 times before inspection, and the number of test samples is 3.
