PepsiCo, Danone, Nestle... Many drinking water and beverage giants promote rPET packaging

Suntory PepsiCo Beverages (Thailand) Co., Ltd. has also partnered with Thailand's Chulalongkorn University (PMCU) and Thai plastic resin producer Envicco Ltd. to launch a bottle made of 100% rPET, which has received approval from the Thai Food and Drug Administration (FDA). certification. Suntory Pepsi says they are the first company in the Thai soft drink market to use 100% rPET bottles for their beverage packaging.


It is reported that Pepsi is transitioning multiple brands in 22 markets around the world to 100% rPET, and all Pepsi brand products in the United States are expected to be converted to 100% rPET by 2030; while Coca-Cola said that their plastic bottles are made of 25% rPET on average. rPET and 75% virgin PET, with a target of 50% by 2030.


According to Grand View Research, the global rPET market is expected to reach $18.46 billion by the end of 2030. Pepsi, Coca-Cola, Danone, Nestle, Vitasoy and many other beverage industries have made corresponding efforts to promote rPET packaging, such as:


Danone's Evian brand has committed to making all plastic bottles 100% rPET by 2025;


Nestlé Waters pledges that rPET will account for 50% of PET packaging used globally by 2025 and supports the promotion of alternative delivery systems;


So far, the original soy milk and distilled water sold by Vitasoy Company in Hong Kong, China have adopted 100% rPET.
