 News: OnDecember 13, Zhuzhou City Library signed a strategic cooperation agreement on "library-store integration" with Xinhua Bookstore, Fang Wei Bookstore, Dahan Yuejie Bookstore and other Zhuzhou physical bookstores to jointly promote national reading in Zhuzhou.


  According to the agreement, Zhuzhou City Library and physical bookstores will cooperate in the long-term "You Read, I Pay" campaign to build some physical bookstores into "new book borrowing points" for citizens. After citizens borrow books and read them, they will return them to the Municipal Library Main Building and Each branch library, circulation point or 24-hour smart bookstore is sufficient. They will also cooperate to carry out a "book recommendation" activity. The cooperative bookstores will provide classic and best-selling books, which will be selected by citizens and purchased by the municipal library.


  Zhuzhou City Library and physical bookstores will also jointly create an urban reading culture brand and space, integrate and complement each other's resources, and jointly organize various cultural activities from time to time to enrich citizens' spiritual and cultural life.


  "This is another innovative measure for the society to work together to promote 'book-loving Zhuzhou' and develop diversified and integrated reading for all." Ma He, director of the Zhuzhou Municipal Library, said that this "library-store integration" will transform industry resources into market resources for the society. Sharing, transforming bookstore resources into public library resources for public use, giving full play to the advantages of both public libraries and physical bookstores, enhancing Zhuzhou’s cultural service capabilities, and jointly promoting the construction of a bookish city.
