Printing often refers to the process of copying the images and texts on the original and transferring the image and text ink on the printing plate to the substrate by applying pressure to the printing plate. The essence of printing is actually the reproduction of the original. However, printing is also different from other reproduction methods. It must have five elements: original, printing plate, ink, pressure and substrate. With the passage of time, the printing industry has also undergone great changes. The scope of the original has greatly increased, from the five elements to the fact that it can be either a painting or a disk or CD.

As people's demand becomes more and more, printing presses begin to be classified. In printing, the most commonly used printing can be divided into four categories: relief printing, intaglio printing, lithographic printing and orifice printing.

The letterpress and intaglio are just like the print masters we played with when we were children. The patterns on the print masters are convex, and the patterns printed on the mud are concave. Our common banknotes, stamps, personalized business cards, etc. all have relief printing process The characteristics of letterpress and intaglio printing: The printing effect of letterpress and intaglio is that the substrate has uneven hand feel, or there are obvious convex or concave patterns or characters on the substrate.

The hole plate is composed of holes or meshes of different sizes or the same but different numbers. Screen printing belongs to hole plate.

Offset printing is also known as offset printing, which is relatively simple in process and low in cost, so it has been constantly studied and improved by experts in modern times, and has become the most used method in printing today. We usually print books, newspapers, magazines, leaflets, etc., which belong to offset printing.
