The Chinese delegation achieved many breakthroughs
The WorldSkills Competition is held every two years and is known as the "WorldSkills Olympics". It is an important platform for members of the WorldSkills Organization to display and exchange professional skills. The 47th WorldSkills Competition has 59 competition events in six categories: transportation and logistics, structure and construction technology, manufacturing and engineering technology, information and communication technology, creative arts and fashion, and social and personal services.
The many breakthroughs made by the Chinese delegation in this WorldSkills Competition are eye-catching. A total of 68 contestants were sent to participate in all competition events, with the largest scale of participation in history and the most complete entries; the average age of the contestants was 22 years old. Among them, contestants in the Manufacturing Team Challenge project won the National Best Player Award, and contestants in the Industry 4.0 project were the highest in the competition. Won the "Albert Vidal" award; the CNC milling project achieved the "five consecutive gold medals", the two masonry and fashion technology projects achieved the "four consecutive championships", and won gold and silver in the 6 project competitions for the first time. …

Sun Weilong, a student from Shandong Industrial Technician College, won the gold medal in the plumbing and heating project. During the competition, he needed to complete a series of complex operations such as the production and installation of gas and heating pipelines, and the installation of pipelines for the water supply and drainage system. Zhu Bin, an expert on the project and a teacher at Shandong Industrial Technician College, said that this year is the third time that the Chinese delegation has participated in the competition. At the competition site, Loris, a French contestant in the 2022 World Skills Competition Special Competition, was attentively observing the operations of the Chinese CNC milling contestants. He told reporters that this competition uses computer numerical control milling machines to design and process complex parts. It not only competes in speed, but also in accuracy. China joined the WorldSkills Organization in 2010 and participated in the WorldSkills Competition for the first time in 2011. It has participated in 7 competitions so far.
